This made me think of a funny convo I hear last year while shopping at Ann Taylor the day before Thanksgiving. Two older ladies were making their purchases and the sales clerk had an accent so these ladies asked her where she was from. She said Sweden. Then the ladies said, oh it is a shame you won't be home with your family for Thanksgiving. They then were asking her questions like, what does your family do in Sweden for Thanksgiving. The sales clerk was way too polite to point out the obvious fact that Thanksgiving is not celebrated in other countries. I found it hilarious.

Funny! We do have Thanksgiving but we celebrate it in October (your Columbus Day). Our Thanksgiving isn't nearly as a big deal nor does it come with amazing shopping!
Re: I'm so jealous!
I hear ya!! All this talk about Thanksgiving and an extra long weekend makes me incredibly jealous!
I didn't even get to celebrate our Thanksgiving this year since we were OOT, I got no Turkey and trimmings.
