Heartbreaking. It makes me crazy when the pedi just dismisses you. DD had 103 fever last week and the pedi's exact words were "it's not going to hurt her." Ummmm, really?
I'm so upset by this post. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
I just don't understand dismissing a fever when there is no "reason" for it. (No stuffy nose/ear infection). You don't have a fever for no reason. And for the pedi not to say go to ER with the 105? WTF?
OMG, I am going to hug and kiss my girls right now. That is horrible.

OMG, I am sick to my stomach after reading that. DS had a fever of 103 a few weeks ago & was lethargic and we were on the phone multiple times with the on-call nurse, etc., and the thought that something like that could've happened makes me sick. I just cannot even imagine. So devastating. I am in tears... that poor family. My thoughts & prayers are with them.

Oh my God. I wish I hadn't read it. Not your fault-- I should have read the responses below so I'd see the disclaimer. My heart goes out to that family. I can not imagine how one goes on after something like that.

OMG. My girls are napping and I am tempted to go in there and wake them up and cuddle them even though it would piss them off. Dear lord, life is so unfair. I just can't imagine that. How do you even go on? I feel terrible for that poor family.
I can't stand it. I really can't. That is too much, too much to bear. That poor mother.
Wheee!

Re: Tragic link from 12-24 SERIOUS prayers!
Just thought I would add a note here that this is about an infant death, so people can decide if they want to read about it.
So unbelievably scary and unfair, thought and prayers that their family is able to find the strength to get through this.

I'm thinking maybe edit the title of the post to warn people ahead of time.

MUST not let DH read...he will freak out.
We are dealing with DS having H1N1, a double ear infection, and a respiratory illness...UGHHHH
My heart is breaking for her family. She did everything right. It is just not fair.
