Infertility

New to this board

I do not know where to begin... Today I had an annual at the OB/GYN I talked to her about the miscarriage (at 8weeks) I had a little over a year ago and the fact that I have take so many OPK and they have yet to tell me I am O'ing.

She then told me to contact my insurance and see what kind of coverage I have on fertility treatments... I just wanted to cry was this the nice way to tell me this is the only chance you'll have a child?   What happens if insurance doesn't cover this ...

I am so uninformed, confused upset and crushed...I haven't felt this emotionally drained  since I lost my baby last year.

Anyone out there has any advice, words of wisdom, willing to share how they dealt with this?

  • I'm sorry about your loss and that it is now looking like you have fertility issues.

The good news is that fertility treatments may be able to get you pregnant again.  My insurance doesn't cover fertility treatments but we found a way.  There are payment plans and other methods that could help you.

    Welcome to the board.

  • Welcome to our board, I'm sorry you have to be here. Take a deep breath and try not to assume the worst. Infertility treatments do work and while it's a hard road to travel, all that really matters is the end result. I know it's all very overwhelming but know that we are all here to answer any questions you have.

We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint.
