Re: is anyone familiar with..

  • Integramed managed the shared risk program that we used for our donor egg IVF.  At least when we did it they did not, themselves, offer financing.  For that we obtained a health care loan through Capital One.  Unfortunately, Cap1 is no longer offering that loan product.

FWIW, I had a good experience with Integramed and found them easy to work with. I seem to remember hearing something about them possibly underwriting loans to consumers now? GL!

  • We applied last year and got denied. My clinic would not tell us why for whatever reason...it could have been due to income or diagnosis or something else, I don't know. FWIW, I am the only person I have ever heard of getting denied!

    Good luck!

I got denied too.  I was told my BMI was above their limit of 30 I think it was.  They can also deny you if you have failed medicated cycles, losses, or if any of your bloodwork or saline sonogram/HSG shows anything outside normal.  My clinic said they have a lot of people denied just because their standards are pretty strict.

They didn't offer financing when we applied a year ago.  We used Capital One like epphd but personal loans would have been cheaper.  We could just get a larger amount through Capital One.  We recently refinanced what was left of our Capital One loan into a personal loan through a credit union locally and for a 60 month loan of ~$10k, our payments are $225, compared to the $600 a month we paid Capital One.  Our cycles were about $10k with meds since our ultrasounds were covered (billed as GYN, not infertility) and our meds had copays of about $40 each.

Wow you got denied too but congrats now!! Reading your post, I assume it was because of my BMI. It had to be, I never did any type of cycle prior to applying and everything else on me was 100% fine. Perhaps my clinic did not want to tell me I was fat to my face.

  • I contacted them and the interest rate, depending on credit score was from 9% to 21%.  We ended up having a credit card with nothing on it and got a 2.99% APR until 05/11 and put it on there.  You really can't find a loan at a rate that low.  We go through Chase and our local branch manager was awesome at helping us get the money in less than 48 hours!  Good Luck!

  • I am using them.  We signed up for the 2 fresh, 2 frozen program.  But we had to pay up front.  No financing.  The good thing is that they have been really easy to work with.  We are doing a third FET and paying OOP for that, but it doesn't disqualify us from using our final fresh cycle.
