Is this cheating? Re: Elf Exchange...

Tell me if this is cheating or even bending the rules and if it is, I will fix it.

I wasn't planning on buying anything today, but I came upon an unbelievable sale and I had a coupon so I was able to get about $35-$40 worth of stuff for $25 and change for my Elf.  I know the cap is $25 and I spent $25, but the stuff I got, had I not gotten them on sale and used a coupon, would really have been more than $25.  

Is it still fair?  I don't want to offend anyone.

    I do not think it is since I did the same for the fall exchange.

    Beautiful Miracle Baby lost at 21 weeks due to pre-term labor and incompetent cervix. FET#1 BFN, FET#2 BFP, early loss. FET#3 BFN. IVF#2 BFFN.     I say its okay! I spent more then $25, I went over just a tad. shopping on a budget has never been my strong point.

    I'm spending more too. It's hard for me to stay under $25 especially when there are so many cute things out there.

    I think it is totally fine.  I got stuff on sale too.

    I think you're all good.  And, I hope my elf is a savvy as you! Wink

    Not cheating- I spent only 25$ and got 5 things- only b/c they were on sale and I had coupons-- normally it would've cost much more.   

    So it's just smart shopping!
