Woot Woot! Got my H1N1 Vaccine!

If you have been following the drama of my hunt for the H1N1 vaccine well...I finally got my shot.  I thought it was never going to happen.  I had to wait in line for 2 hrs, but I finally got a shot!  I am so excited!  After my run in last week with the county guy who said I had to get it the county I lived in, I decided to lie.  Well it turned out I never changed my license so my current county probably wouldn't have given it to me anyways.  

I was afraid they wouldn't give me one and the nurse was like you need this more than most of course you should get it and we have special ones set aside for people with immune disorders. So even though I had to wait it worked out and I am so relieved because I have been so afraid that I was going to get sick.

Good for you!  I know, finding a vaccine was a pain, even for me as a doctor.  Glad you are protected now!

BTW....how's your brother?  didn't he have H1N1?

My brother is doing good.  It took him 4 weeks, 3 ER visits and countless steriods, antibiotics and other meds but he is finally over it and back to new.  Thank you for asking.  I was really worried about him for a while. He is graduating and moving back home in 3 weeks so it will be nice to have him here with the family again.

Yippeee!  Glad to hear that he is doing good!  wow...3 weeks....not much longer.  I'm sure you will enjoy having him closer to home!

Is it wrong to say that I like him so much more than my other brother?  Ha ha!

not wrong at all!  just because their family, it doesn't mean that we have to like everyone equally.  I have famliy members that I favor more than others.  Hell, I have friends that I like more than some of my family!

Me too.  There were so many people that they turned away because they weren't high risk.
