We are taking a break..

DH and I will be taking a break from TTC for awhile. Thanks to this lovely cyst I am out this cycle. We planned on cycling again in December and January before DH's season starts in February (he is a college softball coach) but with the holidays in December and DH's recruiting schedule in January, it just won't be possible.

DH is gone pretty much all of the time between games, traveling, recruiting, practice and camps from February 1 through the end of June. So I guess we will look at cycling again in July.

I'm really sad that it will be so long before we get to try again...but maybe by that time I will have had a change of heart about IVF thus allowing us to have a real chance to have a baby.

Now I just have to decide if I should go on BCP while we are on our break. Ideally I'd love to just try naturally even though I know it won't work (0-2% chance) but at the same time, the way my body produces cysts, it probably isn't a good idea.

I hope you ladies don't mind if I stay around during our break...I'd love to keep cheering you all on and giving hugs when they are needed. I also learn so much on this board every day, I can't imagine stepping away.

I'm sorry, breaks suck, I know... I've been there!  Good luck making your decision about BCPs.  My body just did not seem to tolerate them well, so we just try naturally.  I keep hoping for that miracle surprise BFP one of these days... foolish or not.  Hoping the holidays make the next few months fly by so your break doesn't seem all that long, and you can enjoy the holidays without living in 2-week intervals.

I'm so sorry. Breaks are really hard, but may be what's best. We were technically on a break all summer while DH recovered from his surgery and it was kind of nice to not have to think about IF. ((HUGS))

I am so sorry, but I wanted to say that I think that you made a right decision.  We are all truly cheering for you. I also know how it feels to have a DH with a crazy schedule..My DH works for a NFL football/College team; he works every Satruday and Sunday and puts in CRAZY hours during the week. It is very difficult being married to boys who work in these fields..

Breaks stink (I'm on a forced one right now too because of a cyst from Letrozole last cycle) and I'm sorry that you have to take one.  Glad that you'll be sticking around though!

On a side note, gotta love how the softball season completely eliminates your life once the holidays are over! I remember my collegiate days. Eat, drink, breathe softball, all day, everyday. good luck to your DH on the upcoming season!

I'm sorry, life imposed breaks are not cool.  It's one thing to decide on your own, but to be forced to break because of circumstances outside of your control is simply not cool.  But I do hope you enjoy your time off.  And you better not go anywhere- I like having you around!

Breaks are both a blessing and a curse I think.  I was on one from the beginning of June until last week... just about 6 months.  It was hard, but at the same time it was nice not to be spending every other morning getting poked and prodded with the vag cam or countless needles.  It was nice to just focus on us for a while.  I hope your break brings you some peace.  And I hope you stay around here

We are debating about taking a break too. ?It is just getting so hard and maybe I need a break emotionally, physically, etc. ?I found out I have a large cyst this morning and I picked up the BCP even though we aren't sure what to do. ?I am sorry we have to be on this journey! GL to you... I hope you stay on the boards.

I'm so sorry that you have to wait so long before cycling again. My dh is an associate athletic director at a D1 school so I know how crazy the schedules can be - especially for coaches who are recruiting.

I'd love it if you stayed around here during your break!

I'm sure it will be summer before you know it and your break will fly by.  Hopefully you get your miracle break BFP though.  

I'm taking a long break to - to save $ for IVF- but I'm still going to post on the boards-  I'll probably have to take a 1.5 yr break b/c a year to save $ and the summers work best for MH schedule.  

I hope your break goes by quickly and you don't get any cysts.  Glad you're still going to post during your break
