NIFR POLL: Christmas present for DH?

Usually he gives me a wishlist, this year he's leaving it up to me. I have no idea what to get him.... SIGH he's gonna make this hard.

 

What are you getting DH for Christmas?

dh's car is pretty old and we cant afford a new one (doesn't even have cd player) so i think i'm gonna get him a cd player for his car that also has an input for the ipod if i can find one at a good price

Nothing....we typically don't get each other any more "stuff" since we both agree we don't need anything more.  He wants some floor mats for his truck that I may get but he said not to get them.

We did when we were first together but he is the kinda guy who will buy something if he wants it (within reason) so there is really nothing left for me to get.

I will probably get him an i-pod nano and some clothes, and sneakers. We are also trying to get all the tools we would ever need because we love fixing up our house, so I will get him either a miter saw or a nail gun and air compresser.

I have no idea! I always seem to get him the same things for x-mas every year. I really want to get something different I just don't know what yet!

So far I have bought him two DVDs. I'm going to get him this woodcarving thing he's had his eye on for some time now. Really not that much else. We're trying to save for IVF and decided to splurge on a new mattress in January as our gift to each other anyway.

No fun Christmas gift here... He mentioned that he needs to by a circular saw, but isn't going to get one till after Christmas. So I will get him that.

We are hard to buy for each other because we are the type that if we need something or want it, we go out and get it (if the wallet can afford it). I was really surprised to hear him say he was going to wait to buy it. Maybe that was a hint to me.

my DH b-day is 12/26 so he got a combo gift this year. A new laptop. The past few years we really scaled down on gifts but decided to get something nice for each other this year! We deserved it! HA!

We're going on a vacation right before Christmas. I don't imagine either of us will do much more than that.

Maybe some rum we had from St Lucia on our honeymoon- that he LOVES but we can't find it in the US- so I found a website that you can get it from. Of course shipping cost is a b*tch- but he'll be so surpised and love it, it's worth it.  Then probably some T-shirts.  We're going to just keep it small for gifts since we are saving for IVF.

I got him a portable external hard drive & case he wanted, XBOX 360 games, and tickets for us to see Bela Fleck & the Flecktones put on a Christmas concert.  I just need some little things for his stocking now.  Probably an iTunes gift card, magazine subscription, and a new atlas... he's such a dork about maps and atlases... he always wants the new one each year.  I try to explain that the highways tend not to change *that* much every year!
