Cycles after lap?

Hi ladies,

I had a lap / hysteroscopy on 10/20, to remove a large ovarian cyst and remove some adhesions and stage I/II endometriosis.  I was on BCP for ~3 weeks prior to the lap and ~2 weeks after it.

I was expecting my cycles to go back to normal after BCP, but i never had a period (i guess didn't have sufficient uterine lining after coming off BCP?)

So, just wondering for those of you who had a lap...how quickly did your cycles bounce back to normal?  I have no idea if I'm ovulating...there are no signs of it (not temping b/c after 6 years, I just needed a break!).

My first period after lap came on time but was extremely heavy with painful cramps.  Good luck!

I had my lap on CD8 of my cycle and experienced some bleeding after the lap was done... I had a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy/D&C all done at once.  After that initial bleeding from the procedure, I did not have a cycle for 90 days.  Just wanted to let you know that it's not unusual for your cycles to be a bit out of whack for a little while.  After that I went back to what is more usual for me, not that it's by any means "normal."  If you don't start after awhile you can always go back to your RE to have them jump-start your cycle for you.  Best of luck to ya!

My first cycle after my lap was right on time, but the cramping was much worse than ever before in my life.   The next month it was the same as usual!

Mine went back to almost normal calendar-wise.  But I really did not feel "right" for about 4 months.
