How to keep DS away from tree??

This is the first Christmas we will have a mobile LO and I am a little scared, lol! Last year, he was only 6 months old and not mobile yet.

How are you keeping your LO away from the tree this year? A gate, Different room for the tree, or Are you just going to wing it and see what happens?

I know my DS will have the tree down in 30 seconds flat if it isn't blocked off. Are there any alternatives to the expensive round baby gate?? We are pinching pennies right now so I don't really want to spend $50 on the Superyard but I will if I need to.

Any suggestions?

We are going to use a superyard. I have two- one was a hand-me-down and the other I got on craigslist for 30 bucks.

Superyard it is - we already have one - I want to say I spent like $80 on it from BRU about 5 months ago - so I guess I got ripped off! I can't imagine what else would be good to use, DS is definitely going to tear up the tree if we don't use:)

We have the super yard but I'm going to see if she'll stay away w/ out it. if not I'll put it up. maybe string something through the top to make it look festive. lol

I bought a SuperYard last year, and its first mission was to protect the tree!

On Christmas morning, I just opened it up.

I am a little worried too but I doubt that DH will let me buy a super yard since we never needed for with DS. However DD is a lot more into everything that DS was... So yes I am very worried for the tree!

Yeah, a super yard for us is definitely not in the budget... and DS gets into everything. I'm very worried for our tree.

Sigh...we're just winging it. DS can be very active and into everything so I'm totally nervous, but we dont have the room or the money for a superyard. We may put it up later this year so we dont have to worry about it for as long.
