Yeah!! Her Cabbage Patch is here!!

I always LOVED Cabbage Patch dolls growing up.  They were my absolute favorite gift and thought it would be neat to get Charleigh one.  I got her a Baby Cabbage Patch and she is soo cute!  She comes with a paci and a tiny tuft of blonde hair (just like Charleigh!)   I just love the way they smell.  I am sure Charleigh will destroy this doll, but it is kind of special to me to give her her first doll especially since it is the same one I grew up playing with   And I do not remember the actual Cabbage Patch KIDS being so ugly... Yikes   We might just stick with the babies

Awww! Is it a Christmas gift? I got K her first doll- it's a doll from $ tree in a hospital gown or something. I gave it to her while shopping to keep her entertained. Now she says "baby" and looks for it, loves on it, and even tries to share her paci with it!! It's too cute!

Charleigh is going to love it!

Does it look like the old school ones or is it the modern version? I wanted to order one as a gift but last I looked they were all weird looking i.e soft faces, plastic hair. Please tell me they are remaking them they way I remember.

Just like the old ones I had!  They do have some new weird looking ones on the website and I agree, they look creepy!   Here's one that looks like the one I got.

I had two that DD now has. I used to have another, but it got destroyed back in the day.

She loves them! Well, you can see one in my siggy. I asked my mom why she bought the one with the weird red poof and she said that I had no idea the craze in those days. She grabbed whatever she could get. ha ha

I remember when my mom and my aunt were buying them off the backs of trucks when we were little.

And now you can just order them?  Almost seems to easy.

 

We had a Tickle Me Elmo at the daycare I used to teach at.  One kid was playing with it and having a blast.  I said to her, "you don't even realize that someone would have killed for that a couple of years ago."

Madi got her first CPK last Christmas from my older sister who was too excited to have nieces to wait out one year (she only has nephews on her DH side). She loves her like no tomorrow!

She also has my CPK from 1984 (I was 11months) and she likes to play with her sometimes too. The funny thing is that they both look similar with long braided pigtails. The difference is that mine is sandy blonde haired like mine is naturally and hers is brown haired like she is .
