Ladies - looks like our adoption is on hold...
I don't know how this happened, but it seems that I am pregnant. After 4 years of infertility, including rounds of IVF and FETs, we got pregnant on our own.
Everyone has a different theory, my RE thinks the meds helped "jump start" my system, my homeopath thinks the remedies that helped clear my system of the hormones did it, my mother thinks that because I ate a vegetarian diet for the past 6 months did it. I think it's just plain dumb luck.
What this means though is that our adoption plans are on hold. Our homestudy is complete in terms of our meetings with the social worker, we are just going to give them a heads up once we are approved that we will not be on the active waiting list. (Their policy is that you must be on hold if you are pregnant)
I want to thank all of you for providing me with such an amazing network of knowledge and support over the past little while. You are all incredible women and I just may be back!!

congrats - I also got pregnant on my own and was able to maintain the pregnancy. We tried for 2 years, including a year of meds and procedures. that year also included 5 losses.
We found out the day we got our license. We decided to do both. So, we now have a 3 yr old (foster/adopt) and our 9 week old
things happen in strange ways. Congrats again
