Is she too young?

DD likes to play with magnets on our fridge so I was thinking of getting her a magnetic easel for christmas so she can play with the magnets on that in the living room (I don't like her being in the kitchen due to dog eating, cooking, slippery floor, etc).  I found a Step 2 easel that comes with foam alphabet magnets (that I figure are safer for her anyway) but am not sure if she's too young/little for it.  By Christmas she will be about 15 months old.  Any thoughts?

  • I think if you watch her, it'll be fine.  Sarah likes to chew on foam things.

just an FYI, we let Sarah play with her magnets on our front door and it works great.  (i made alphabet magnets with the magnet paper so they don't scratch it or anything)

  • I bought DS some smiley face magnets.  He loves them.  I think your daughter will be fine with an easel as long as she can stand on her own and won't be trying to pull it down.
