My Grandma's Christmas Tree: WWYD?

My Grandma called me yesterday b/c she has a little tabletop Christmas tree that she uses every year, but this year she got a new one.  So she called to ask us if we wanted her old one, I guess b/c she knows we live in an apartment too and might not have space for a bigger one?

Anyway, it is the gaudiest, tackiest thing I've ever seen.  Besides, DH and I are getting a real tree, albeit only a 4ft tall real tree.  My Grandma seemed a little hurt when I told her DH had his heart set on getting a real one.  Should we just take it and stuff it in a closet?  Chances are slim that she would come over during the Christmas season.

  • Hmm do you have room in your closet? Cause my closets are all full lol

  • I would.  You may see it as one of those sentimental items down the road.  If its small it may not take up so much room in the closet.
  • you can;t take everything they hand you. I felt bad refusing my late grandmas dishset from my aunt, but I had to think if I would realistically use it and the answer was "no"

  • I would take it and just stash it somewhere and hope she doesn't come over! My grandma doesn't offer things to people often, and only when she thinks it's something you can really use or would like. I would feel bad if telling her no hurt her feelings lol.

This is probably also why I get walked all over by my family though...
