visiting Disney in a few weeks - any tips/recs appreciated!

Hi!  We're going to Disneyworld in a few weeks with our 2 little ones - 9mos and 3yrs.  We're staying in the Magic Kingdom, where I'm guessing we'll spend most of our time.  Any tips/advice/recs for anything at all - where to eat, what to visit, what to avoid, etc, etc. - greatly appreciated.  TIA!!

  • See if you can get a reservation to Chef Mickey's in the Contemperary.  That was a wonderful Charactor meal along with Cinderella's Royal table

Do not take them into Stitch's Great Escape, we took the kids in there for our very first attraction at Disney (they were 2 almost 3 and 4) They were scared to death and we had a hard time getting them in/on any other attraction.  Even Its a Small World and the Winnie the Pooh rides.

  • Thanks!  We're actually staying at the Contemporary - I'll try to get reservations.

  • If you purchased the dining plan or if you plan to have any meals in the "sit down" service restaurants (even the non-character meals), make reservations now! We waited until we arrived and we could only get super early or super late dinners. We took our 3-year-old and chose which park we would go to on which day based on the hours they were open. The longer they were open, that's the day we chose because we ended up heading back to the hotel for a few hours mid-day to take a nap! Staying on site was a good choice, it's so much easier! Magic Kingdom was by far the most fun day for our 3 year old. Had the most things for her to do. She HATED the great movie ride at Hollywood Studios. Very scary scenes in that for a little one.
  • I should have said the girls were terrified, Nathan loved it but he is 9!
