Our insurance company gave us wrong information when I called to see if DS's bloodwork would be covered at the Children's hospital. They told me it would be covered at 100%, no copay or deductible. I received a bill for $438.

I Appealed it and they paid. Apparently, we had to pay the deducible. They apologized for giving me wrong info.

I kind of feel like I won the lotto! Keeping up on this insurance crap is a full time job.

that's great. insurance is such a b!tch to deal with. it's like a full time job.

It is like a full time job.  I always joke about how it's a good thing I don't work out of the house. since I would never be able to handle all the stuff that people screw up if I did- insurance being one of the MAIN things!  I just mailed in 3 appeals to our insurance co this week.  They are trying to charge us $75 in office-visit co-pays for when DH, our oldest son & I went in for a flu shot clinic.  We never saw a doc...just got the shots & left.  I asked at the clinic if we would be responsible for a co-pay & was told "no."  So, now we wait.  I HATE insurance companies with a PASSION.  They will try anything to get out of paying.
