Low fever since Tuesday night...

I have chest congestion and have had a low fever (about 99 - 99.9) all day still. I went to the doctor today, and he said don't worry, but I am worried! When I take Tylenol it goes down. Does anyone have any tricks for getting rid of a fever?

Lots and lots of fluid to flush that out. Take a cool shower. Cold compress on your head. Rest. Oh - and chicken noodle soup! Sorry you feel crappy. Hope it goes away soon!

Thanks for replying - I have a cold compress on right now. It just went up and I am sweating a lot, so I am pretty much freaking out that it's going to go over 101, and the dr said not to get it that high. Hopefully I'm sweating because it is breaking!

Wow. If you wake up in the a.m. with a fever, I'd call him back and ask what he wants you to do now... Good luck!
