What if I'm that mom that tries to hard to be cool and embarrasses her kids?

    I think no matter how hard we try (or don't try) we'll end up embarrassing them somehow. It's the nature of the relationship. :)

    I'd be proud to be that mom. Thats a mom that is involved and cares. Just dont be 52 sharing your teen daughter's clothes...I'm sorry but thats just odd.

    I'm that mom.  No matter what I wear or what music I listen to, my 13 year old DD is mortified simply by my mere existance (sp?) Trust me, you can't win.  I swear I'm still cool, but she informs me how very very wrong I am!

    I'm worried about being THAT MILF. My DH and his cop buddies said I'm going to be a MILF and I don't want to be that hot mom. Don't get me wrong I don't want to be homely, but I don't want guys checking me out when I am married and have a child. Is that weird?

    I was just thinking about when I was watching TMZ last night, and there was a girl with her mother staking out the Twilight stars, and the mother was yelling about how the guys weren't "nice boys" if they didn't sign autographs for her daughter, and what gentlemen they were if they did.  She was going on and on being a loudmouth, and I was thinking how embarrassed I was for the daughter, and how I'll never be that kind of mom....

    Don't all parents embarrass their kids at some point in time?  I love my parents, and they are really cool, but I have definitely been embarrassed by them before!
