Pityriasis rosea?

DD was diagnosed with this today.  There was a study done in 2008 showing that it can cause miscarriage in the first 15 weeks of pregnancy, but the study only had 38 people in it.  I, of course, am worried.  There seems to be conflicting information out there......they don't even know for sure if it's caused by a virus or how it's passed on.  Can anyone share an experience with this? I'm 8 weeks today.

I actually got diagnosed with that rash about a week ago. They said it is a virus, and will go away on it's own but that it wouldn't affect the baby at all...so I haven't been worrying about it.

I'm a dermatology PA and see it all the time and I have never heard of it causing a miscarriage. I really wouldn't worry about it. You're right, no one really knows what causes it...it is thought to be a virus since it seems to be seasonal (more cases in the fall) and it usually occurs after an URI, but honestly, don't worry about it!
