DD's new shoes made her heel sore

It looks like there's a big red cut across the back of her heel (where her Achilles tendon is).

She wears the triple roll ON socks.

Should I not put shoes on her until it heels? Put a band aid on it (although I can't imagine it'd stay on)? Get a new pair of shoes?
