My head is going to explode!! Washing CD's

ok so today I got my unbleached PF from GMD and 4 AIO sposoeasy's from my mom as a gift and I was reading thier washing instructions and my head was about to explode! I feel like I am making this harder than it needs to be...a few questions though...

I was planning on using the eco blogs homeade det. but GMD said not to use anything with borax in it...does anyone use the eco det. and like it?

Then it said I have to use "clean" det. for all of my clothes and they suggested charlies soap for everything and that is very expensive, does anyone have any suggestions? Some one said Tide Free was good for our clothes and CD's??

I was planning on using costco's free/clear for our clothes and the babies clothes and the homeade det. for the CD's is that not ok?

Thank you ladies!!! I am sure I will have more when I go to prep mext month but if you couldease my mind for now I would LOVE it!

I was under the impression that its best not to use homemade detergent with CDs, but Clear and Free detergent is fine.

 

But I could be wrong.

I agree with the Eco board but everything I've read says that Free and Clear stuff will cause buildup.

I used All Free and Clear on my CDs for the 2+ years we were using them with no problems   Regular Tide works really well, too.  My diapers are still in good enough shape to use for the new baby.
