1st Trimester

a question for those who charted...

Did anyone here get pregnant without having a raise in temps to signify ovulation? I am on CD 25 and fertility friend has still not found a day I ovulated.  I had had lots of CM so I kinda thought I did. Just curious to hear anyone elses experiences.  Thanks!

  • I had a sustained temp rise.

  • My temp rise was always very obvious and I could tell on my bfp cycle as well.

  • the month I got pregnant I had a temp rise and a clear ovulation day.  The month before I didn't have a temp rise an it didn't show a clear ovulation day, so I don't know if I really ovulated during that cycle.  That cycle ended up being 36 days.
  • Can't help you there personally, but I've seen some pretty wacky BFP charts in the past.  If you'd like to lurk, mine's in my siggy.  You can also search FF for BFP charts & click on characteristics that are similar to your own.  GL!!!

  • I got a temp rise

temps are really the only thing to signify ovulation - I thoght I o'd in the summer, but ended up with a 53 day cycle instead. the EWCM was there, teh CP was right etc. but I don't think it happened for me.

  • On BOTB there are some ugly charts that resulted in BFP.
  • I had a HUGE temp spike that stayed up..

I even tested this morning and it was 98.9..

  • I actually had a small temp DROP the day before I ovulated, and then a small jump up afterwards....like .5. It didn't really get high until a bit later.

  • So, I checked out your chart....

I really don't think your O date can be detected either.  You do need a clear temp rise yet.  Before the temp rise, the chart can look pretty crazy.

Have you been using OPKs?  That might help to "double check"...

Also, just to be safe, I'd continue to FWP every day or every other day.

    Good luck!

Oh, here is my BFP chart, which is pretty weird... notice the early +OPK.

  • Just because you got CM doesn't mean you ovulated. It means your body was gearing up to O, but for many reasons may not have done so.

  • I always had a significant jump in temp to signify O. On my BFP cycle, my temps after O were incredibly steady.?Here is my chart: ?https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/295b7e

I looked at your chart and I really can't see a clear O date either. You may have not O'd yet. I've seen a lot of charts for longer cycles where there were patches of fertile CM way before O and then again around O.?

I'd say keep baby dancing especially when you see any fertile-quality CM just incase. Make sure you take your temp EVERY day. I see you skip some days here and there. It will help if you have less variables so try to chart every day (annoying as it can be). Also, check out the chart gallery to compare your chart to others. You'll see a huge variety of charts.

Good luck and baby dust! Feel free to message me if you have any more questions. Charting can be annoying and confusing at times! :)

  • I did have a temp rise, but I also did not ovulate until CD 27, and my BFP was on CD 40.

  • I could tell when I did.  Do your cycles change at all?  mine were 29-34 days. I had alot of stress and changes going on and also was on the pill.  The month I got my BFP i was a week late with ovulation.  I didnt think i would get preg that month cause we concevied the day after my 0.  GL
  • My temp raise was always pretty obvious.  The month of my BFP, I thought I had ovulated later than I actually did, and in general it was a pretty ugly chart.  The most obvious thing was that my temp stayed high and kept rising, rather than a dramatic drop with AF.  Theres a link in my siggy if you want to check it out.

  • You could have a wierd long cycle.  Are you using OPK's?  My SIL had crazy long cycles and they finally got BFP after using the OPK's the first time.

  • Yep, I never have a temp jump...never have and my hormon levels were so low that they ovulation sticks never detected as well, so I relied only on CM and CP after 4 mo of trying we were pg so not everyone has a temp shift.  I had been charting for almost 2 years and in the time frame only hade 4 or 5 temp shifts that you could recognize.
