I read and followed the "Baby Whisperer" book with my son. At 2 months he was needing a bottle to fall asleep( a common mistake lots of moms make...but it's important to teach your children to fall a sleep on their own and without the need of sucking or rocking etc). It took a tough 2 days and then he was falling asleep on his own and sleeping 12-13 hours a night ( still waking to feed till 6 months) and at 23 months he LOVES bedtime and asks to go for naps and to bed and sleeps 13 hours a night. I believe Baby Whisperer helped us out sooo much and made my son the amazing independent sleeper he is today:)
Anyone else a follower or planning on reading this book?!!
Re: Any Baby Whisperer followers out there?!
I've never heard of it. I read The Happiest Baby on the block when I was pregnant with DD and she was always such a calm baby.
I'm actually reading the Baby Whisperer right now and I really like her style...very practical. I received the book from a co-worker who got canned and was purging her book shelves
I also want to read Happiest Baby to compare and choose what practices we like best.
I had great success with it..but it takes patience! And it's so good to have your baby on a routine! Babies crave routine! I never wore any belt type thing? Hmm?
