2nd Trimester

Confession: I used to fear the snark!

Then I realized, if you are thinking about what you post and you explain it clearly...usually people around here are helpful AND humorous.  I don't think annoymous message boards should give people free rein to lose common sense.

If communication is key here (where we "speak" not face to face but through words and phrases), than communicate clearly, check your spelling, and make sure what you're asking is clear.

You have the right to seek answers to your questions here.  And people have a right to respond here.  A decent question should get a decent response (even if a little snark is included).  A poorly thought out question simply ask for responses that have little thought invested in them.  An AW post from someone who looking for attention a little too often, deserves the unpleasant attention it sometimes gets.

Let's act like adults here.  That means ask questions worthy of an adult response.  Take everything with a grain of salt. Don't tattle to the principal without good reason (kinda hurt feelings from a hormonal woman don't always count.)  And if you still need an answer to a nagging question that might seem silly, PM someone who you think might have an answer. Don't put yourself out there to be flamed if you know it's coming.  There is no shortage of helpful "elders" around here (2nd or 3rd, even) or, if you are brave enough, over on the 0-3 board.

The end.

Re: Confession: I used to fear the snark!

  • I guess I've been on the boards far too long. When people start crying about being treated mean, my first thought is "they haven't been around long".
