DD (2 1/2 yo) was holding a small plastic turtle yesterday. It's pretty tiny, maybe the size of a dime. I had told her to be careful and not lose it. Well not 2 minutes later she starts saying that she wants the turtle, can't find it, etc. She said she dropped it and told me the exact spot she was when she dropped it - but its nowhere to be found! She hadn't left the kitchen I don't think. We turned the place upside down looking for it. She has never been the type to put things in her mouth at all, but that's beginning to seem like the only possible place it could have gone! She says she didn't put it in her mouth and is typically pretty honest and accurate. Ugh. I'm kinda hoping it comes through in her poop so at least I know where the darn thing went. Not sure if I should worry if it doesnt... i mean seriously, we ever checked the trash cans etc.
