How do people do this?!?

I just found out I am pregnant with my 2nd baby (my first is 7 months old). While a baby is always a blessing, I am very scared about how it possibly works out to take care of 2 babies under 16 months old?!? How long does it take before you get in the swing of things?

Congrats!! My boys are 16 months apart, and it is a challenge but it is worth it! Everyday gets a little easier, and it makes it easier when I think about how they will be buddies growing up because they will be so close in age. And just remember that your 7 month old will be 16 months old when the new baby comes and will be a lot different by then. When DS1 was 7 months he was still a really high maintenence baby, but by the time he turned 1 he was a whole new child. And by the time we brought DS2 home he was a lot more independant, more laid back, didnt need my constant attention, etc. It is just hard because DS2 DOES need my constant attention so I feel bad like DS1 doesnt always get the attention he deserves. However, it doesnt seem to bother him, we get occasional melt downs...but I think that is more his age than the baby. Good luck!!

my girls are 17.5 months apart and honestly you just do what needs to be done...and take it one day at a time...It took me a while to get into the swing of things--basically til DD 2 was sleep thru the night...But I am glad we had them this close and would do it all over again in a heartbeat...
