I'm posting anyways, cause these gals deserve it.

Donkey is equally as old and hideous as I am.

I am so proud to say that these are my friends.

This weekend, lizzyjames and MrsDonkey will be running a marathon for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. They will both be running, I believe, about 26 miles for the cause. I am in awe of both of these ladies.

A. Because I could barely run a mile.

B. Because of their tireless efforts to raise money and awareness for a cause that they believe in.

I'm very fortunate that the chronic immune disease that I have is most often either outgrown or lived with quite well, but I have a pretty soft spot for people that suffer from ID, leukemia, or cancer.

Please join me in celebrating the tremendous effort and sacrifice that both of these incredible ladies have made.

I am so proud of you both and I am so happy to call you both my beautiful  friends.

Kick ass this weekend girls!

a) I wish you weren't such a stranger around these parts.

b) ITA. Working in pediatric onology has given me such a different perspective on things. Just tonight, I had a patient who was feeling off and his parents brought him to his doctor to figure it out and it turns out he has leukemia. These families are amazing. Supporting the cause and the research are incredible.

Running a marathon is a huge undertaking, but making sure there is research and funding enough to help my patients is what is so important and for that I thank them and anyone else involved.

That is a GREAT cause.  My BIL had Leukemia as a child in the 60's and by some miracle survived.
