Hey girls. I recently went off of my birth control and this is my first cycle off of the pill. At the beginning of this cycle I bought a box of ovulation tests. That night out of curiosity I took one of the tests, it showed as I expected, with the LH line significantly lighter than the test line. This morning I woke up and took another test (today is CD12)... when the test was done the LH line was virtually non existent, and the test line was as clear as it had been in the first test.
I am just wondering why this might be. Since i just got off of my birth control I am wondering if it means I am not going to ovulate this month?
any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated
Re: question about Ovulation tests
what brand OPK's are you using? Most OPKs discourage using first morning urine. It's best to use later afternoon urine, and should state that in the instructions (however, I believe the expensive Clear Blue Easy one's let you use anytime of day urine)
and you already realize that first cycle of BC can be an issue. You may O soon, or way late (I occasionally O'd around CD39), or not at all. There really isn't anyway to know which way it's gonna go. Just realize your cycle can be wacky for a year (or more in my case). Some months "regular" for a while, then all wacky again. Don't stress over this - it happens.

You shouldn't use FMU, unless the test specifially say to do so.
