Babies on the Brain

I need a dog sitter

at Christmas.

We thought DH's family would be able to watch them (2 different families - the 2 little ones at one the big one at the other) cause they always do but now no one's saying they can.  Awesome.

I wonder if we could drug the little ones and take them with us on the plane.  I don't want to know what a boarding bill would be for all 3 for a week.  Yikes.

Re: I need a dog sitter

  • Do you have local dog sitters?  I had a really nice lady come to my house twice a day for feedings and potties while I was on my honeymoon.  It was cheaper than boarding.  I've only boarded my dogs once and they both had breakdowns.  It was much easier on them and me to have them 'watched' at home.

LOL I could totally do that cause we're flying out of BNA to go home.  If we were driving this wouldn't be a problem but driving to Chicago in December isn't really reliable because you never know what the weather will be like

  • Not me.  I didn't sleep well last night because I was stressed about my MILs dog.  Damn thing is fine :-)
  • Have you looked on craigslist for someone?

  • Just make sure my gate is closed on your way out.  The stupid tax assessors actually left it open yday and when I got home the dog was just chilling out in my front yard.  So help me God, if she had gotten hurt, hit by a car I would have killed someone.
  • With the boarding business I run, we give a multiple dog discount.  For a week, it's $410 a week.  It includes daily updates via text or email, 3 Boarding Blog updates with pictures & letters written from the pups, and a photo album with at least 20 photos.  They receive 1 walk per day, and are members of our household for the duration of their stay.  They don't stay kenneled all that time (only when sleeping or when I leave the house).  Just wanted to give you an idea of what a rate is for 3 dogs in ATL... not sure what it is for you where you are!

  • If you look on places like sitters.com, they have a dog sitting option.
