What do you do to comfort your LO

When s/he wakes up in the middle of the night/nap in pain or discomfort due to reflux flare up?  I hold him up on my shoulder and try to hold him tight until it passes.  I wish there was trick to comfort this dang reflux.  I just feel so bad for him b/c he seems like he is in so much pain and I can't fix it.

  • Skylar would sometimes wake up screaming too.  I just would put her up on my shoulder and pat her back.  Alot of the time she had to burp.  I wish there was a magic trick also :)

    ditto ditto ditto!!

    stupid reflux.

  • DS had reflux and when he was inconsolable, we would run an electric toothbrush handle on his back.  The vibration calmed him right down.
  • the only thing that soothed Robbie was patting. If it was particularly bad, I had to do the patented double pat. (both hands going.)

Fortunately we fnally got his meds right and now he doesn't hurt anymore. I do not miss those days. My thoughts are with you guys!

    REFLUX BLOWS.
