Nursery decorating: a cautionary tale

Two kids, who actually play in their rooms, and don't just sleep and store clothing in them, might, by accident rip their curtains down and put the actual walls anchors out with them.   By accident.*  In both rooms. In the span of 48 hours.

Nice.

*As I witnessed both incidents, I can atest to the fact that they came down as a result of accidents and not on purpose.

  • I am worried something like this is going to happen at my house.  A is always getting curtains traped in her toys. I hope there wasn't a huge mess to fix.  I wonder how my mom ever kept a clean house.

  • Not so much a mess as holes were the anchors pulled out with parts of the walls.
  • oh man, that stinks.

    they okay?

  • Or, an irate toddler might intentionally pull them off the wall.  And then proceed to empty all of his drawers of clothes so his nanny must refold them all.  But not before he bashes a hole in the wall with his toy bat.

  • Note to self: do not put full length panels in nursery.

  • I bet Poedaddy is excited to fix that.

Yeah, that is when he would get his ass busted.  I am not a fan of spanking, but that seems to be the time.

I was the nanny.  That was a bad summer.

  • ::hopes this is not my baby as I stupidly put PBK full length curtains in the nursery::
  • Anna, I have them in both kids rooms, and my bedroom.  My bedroom ones are currently now pulled up and draped over the curtain rod.

Um, I think maybe that kid needed some help. That's an awful lot of rage for a toddler.
