? If your DC has had H1N1

DD was diagnosed with flu yesterday. She had her seasonal shot, so I'm assuming it's H1N1. It started as a wet cough and the fever came last night. We started tamiflu last night. She also seems to be breathing a lot faster. How long did the worst of the symptoms last? I'm really worried about her breathing, but the nurse says it's from the fever and not to worry just yet. We're doing Tylenol and getting whatever food in her that we can.

My DD's worst symptoms were around for 1.5 days.   Motrin really seemed to help her - as did giving her liquids (we let her have formula in a bottle because she'd gulp it down).   She was really scaring me with the fast breathing, fever and lethargicness for a day - but it didn't last long.  Hope your LO is better soon

No flu, but a few illnesses including pneumonia over the year.  When DD's fever would increase, her breathing would be very rapid as well.  I hope that gives you a little reassurance.  Just keep trying to reduce the fever and that should slow the breathing.

I was just wondering this same thing.  DD and I were exposed yesterday. Glad you asked this!

Mine and my son's symptoms seemed to peak on the 2nd and 3rd days.  We were both sick for a full week.  I hope that your DC gets better soon!
