Holiday Week Poll

The question begs to be asked as people view it differently.

When you have a short work week due to a Holiday do you count down to the actual DAY or to the Week?

Example: I am counting down to the Week of Thanksgiving because even at work on a short week, work has a lazy festive Holiday feel so it's more fun...so I say its One more week till Thanksgiving because I'm going to the week of not the actual day.

TPS counts to the DAY itself so to her its Two weeks away.

How do you count it? (I need all the motivation I can get, so one week sounds better to me..LOL)

I gotta say Buck, when I saw that you said it was in a week my heart stopped for a few moments b/c we're hosting and I haven't done ANYTHING.

Currently I am a SHAW, so I count down to the day...however when I did work I counted down to Thanksgiving Eve day, I never worked that day!

I count down to the day.  The days of work during short weeks generally suck for me.

LOL. I bet that would stop your heart. We are hosting this year as well so I've actually got shopping trips, pantry checks etc written into my day planner. I'm a bit of an OCD planner and list maker though.

I'm an inbetweener... if that makes any sense. I count down to the week like Buckin because work is slow and its a short work week. And then i count down to the day because we usually have a family member (i.e. my brother and his fam) every other year come down for the holiday. So i count for 2 different reasons lol.

I think i just try to find any excuse to make it come faster.

I count down to the week usually - and we're hosting and I have done nothing other than order the turkey so we will at least have one of those. And I don't really plan to do anything else until the week of.
