Babies on the Brain

Would you let me watch your 2 year old daughter?

I've got a 4 month old baby, my husband is layed off and would be home too. I have a dog who is amazing with kids, but you don't have a dog of your own. I have to pick up my 6 and 10 year old nephews from school everyday. I also have a 2 year old nephew, so you know I'm good with kids. I live a block from your house and will let you park in my garage to drop off and pick up your daughter everyday. I charge $125 a week. How would you feel?

  • I would as long as you wanted to and were sure it wouldn't overload you.

  • I'm just worried the whole dh being home and the dog thing is going to kill it. These people are coming over tomorrow to talk to me. They know about everything but I completely forgot to mention the dog! So I'm going to lock him up and let them know about him.... Once I see how they feel about it I will let him out...
  • I think you have to be straight forward with the people trusting you with their kids. I think if I had kids, the dh being home might weird me out a little, so I would likely mention it is a recent development and only a temporary thing.

I would likely want to see the dog in the home interacting with the children. If you had him locked up, I might worry as to the reason he is locked up.

That being said, obviously the price is right if they are coming to meet you tomorrow.

  • Yeah they know about Dh and everything I just forgot to mention the dog. I want make sure they don't have allergies etc of dogs before I let him out. Ps he's a small dog
  • I would have to meet the dog & see your house but otherwise yes

  • Probably.  The dog thing isn't a deal breaker for me, but I would definitely have LO be around the dog before making a decision.  2 year olds can be rough with dogs especially if they aren't around them regularly.

Definetly! My nephews don't have animals so they are so rough with him.  My 2 year old nephew tries to ride him, squeezes him and unfortunatly hits him.  He won't even act like he's going to bite...he just runs and hides when He's tired of it lol.
