Peaches'n'Cream outlet?

I know they make boys clothes, but does the outlet really carry any?  Also, are the prices worth a stop if I'm headed in that direction?

If you have a boy- any suggestions on where you buy "traditional" type of baby boy clothing- longalls, shortalls, button on pant, etc.

Re: Peaches'n'Cream outlet?

  • I don't have any advice on the PnC outlet - never checked it out.

As far as "traditional" clothes, I really like Patsy Aiken (https://www.patsyaiken.com/) & Bailey Boys (https://baileyboys.com/). IMO, these are both over-priced, so I usually only buy from PA when they have their outlet sale in Raleigh (happens pretty frequently). My MIL's BFF lives near the BB store & outlet in Georgia, so she has bought something for J from the outlet at a much more reasonable price (an adorable Easter outfit).

  • I'm putting the Patsy Aiken sale (12/3) on my calendar and tracking that- ha!  Mom bought the baby a Feltman Bros sailor suit today- so cute!  I know it isn't practical for daycare but I do want some cute outfits like this.

    Thanks for the brand suggestions!

  • I'm still looking for places that carry these type of baby boy cothes that don't cost an arm and a leg! We're having DS's 6 month pictures made this weekend, and I've been struggling to find a "traditional" outfit for him to wear. I wanted a pair of plain, corduroy mongrammed longalls but couldn't find them in a store anywhere. Who knew it was so hard to find something like this?

You may want to check online. There are a lot of sellers on Etsy that make adorable longalls, shortalls, etc. for pretty reasonable prices. I also did a lot of Internet searches for "longalls and shortalls" and found quite a few online children's boutiques that carried all different brands.

As for the Peaches n Cream outlet in Burlington, they do carry boys clothes there and for pretty reasonable prices. They carry some longalls/shortalls. My mom actually picked up a couple of pair for me yesterday that were on sale in the $20-$30 range. So I would say it's definitely worth stopping by there sometime.

  • I'm also going to check the Bargain Box JLR Store (Cameron Village) periodically.  Oh and I went to "Divine Consign" sale with my sister a few months ago- a ZOO because the space is small, but they did have a lot of the clothes for boys (corduroy, reversible)- www.dcskids.com/raleigh to get an "alert" for the next one.  Clothes ranged from $10-40.

  • HeelsFan- one last thought- Shutterbugs @ Bernie Batchelor's studio?  Most of it is pricey BUT the sale rack isn't bad - have peeked when I had to pick up some stuff for my sister- https://www.shutterbugsboutique.com/

  • ctnj - thanks for the suggestions on other places to look. I meant to mention last night that I did find some Feltman Brothers outfits at Belk. But, of course, they were all lightweight fabrics/colors more suitable for spring or summer. But they are so precious for a baby boy!

  • Look for Sir John's or Sir John by Rosalina - they are the traditional smocked boys clothes, we've got quite a few of these!  I've just come across them in various places and have gotten them as gifts.  I love them for church and special occasions.
  • I loved the Peaches n cream outlet when I was smaller.  However, I have not been in ages!  As for where to buy traditional clothing for little boys.  Maybe try Strasburg Children outlet (in Smithfield).  I also love Lamb's ear (I believe is the name of the store) at North Hills.  Also, definitely try the Patsy aiken sale!

    Have fun shopping!
