Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

So, um, does anyone else have a lot of holiday decorations?

I knew I bought a bunch of stuff on uber clearance from Target last year, but I didn't remember buying 2 plastic tubs worth!! Whoops. I pulled everything out because I'm goofy and want to decorate today. I have 3 trees for the house, 1 for the porch, 2 sets of decorations for the bathrooms, 2 sets for the kitchen and boxes of blankets, ornaments, lights, etc.

Maaaaaaaybe I don't need to go to Target after Christmas this year.Embarrassed

  • DH pulled the decorations down from the attic 2 weeks ago and I literally have a 5 ft tall pile taking up half of the top end of my garage now.  I really need to go through it ...

  • but their holiday clearance is awesome!  Especially when everything goes to 90% off!
  • No, but I wish I did!  We just moved from a little townhouse and didnt have room to store it.  I will be buying a LOT after the holidays this year!
  • I never put out more than half of what we have.  I think I have at least 8 strings of lights...and we live in an apartment.
  • Umm..... guilty! I have 10 totes full of Christmas decorations and about the same for Halloween decorations too. I have a problem.

We're moving to a bigger house in a couple of months and now I'm thinking that maybe I need MORE decorations. ;) LOL. At the moment, when I store our decorations they're all in tubs on shelves in the garage.
  • Well, I thought I had a lot til I saw your list, lol. I don't think I'm putting out all of the village houses & stuff. I think the tree will be enough temptation for DS
  • We have a TON! Before DS, we put up 5 trees, all but one of them themed and full of ornaments. Plus, the other misc. mantle decorations, knick-knacks, etc. It's crazy. Some of it is out of date (hand me down) or I just don't love it any more though. I did buy some new stuff at Pier One last year that I love, but with new kittens am not sure much of it will make it up this year.?

The tree that's in my daughter's room (3 ft tall) is themed with those bells with snowmen on them.

The tree that goes in the living room is themed with crafty-looking country style ornaments.

The tree that Santa puts his gifts under (and the ones from us) is themed Disney.  BUT...that tree usually goes into what is now the playroom.  Not sure where I'm going to put that one.

Then I have a little tree for the front porch that just has plain ornaments on it.

  • Yep.  Just one tree though Stick out tongue  I have to start the first week in December to get it all out without being overwhelmed by it. The house looks so nice afterwards, but it takes awhile to do with little ones running around!

  • I have 15 of those plastic tubs filled w/Christmas stuff, so yeah, I have a LOT of holiday decor.
  • I just told DH today that I wished we had more holiday decorations because we really don't have very much. So this year I'm going to Target after Christmas to stock up!
