Oh, just wait until yours gets to be 8.
My daughter just walked in from school and I told her after she was done with her homework, she had to fold and put away her clean laundry. Her response?
"Yeah, well, my schedule is pretty open today so that's not a problem."
Me: "What? Your schedule?"
Her: "Yeah. Usually I go out and play with my friends after I do my homework, so my afternoon is pretty packed. But today they can't play soooo my schedule is open for laundry. Otherwise I'd have to fold it another day."

This coming from the kid who once told me she keeps her Nintendo DS next to the toilet so she can "save electricity and use that for light".
Re: Those of you who do not have an "older" child:
LOL. She has some interesting things that pop out of her mouth sometimes.
And the whole time Zach is yelling, "MADDDSON. MADDDSON! LOOK! LOOK! WOW! WOW! HI!!!!!!"
I am stupid for wanting to drag out this Christmas stuff today. Heehee.
I said something along the lines of not being aware that she had such an active social calendar. She nodded and said she was really busy all the time. LOL.
LOL!
