we hang out with one other couple and their daughter fairly often. but no one else- I have so many friends I don't see, so haven't made much of an effort with anyone else there
No. To be honest, I don't think I have much in common with any of the other moms, with the exception of one. And we hardly run into each other since she drops off her DD much earlier.
Nope. We were invited to one's birthday party and went. DS LOVED it, but none of the other daycare kids showed up, and I still don't even know which of the adults in attendance was the other kid's mom.
We invited some of DS's daycare BFFs to his birthday party, but none came.
Honestly, it's hard to even make conversation with them during pick up/drop off. I really try, but they're all really standoffish.
And, honestly, my weekends are so full already just with chores and trying to keep DS happy that I can't imagine adding a playdate to the mix quite yet.
We do and I love it. I've made a number of friends from H's daycare class. I find that I have little in common with a lot of SAHMs, but lots in common with these working Moms (for obvious reasons).
I've also had outings (dinner / drinks) with these women minus the kiddies.
We have a few times and my girls love it. My older DD has a few really good friends in her class and they love getting together. This little group all have birthdays within a few weeks and we all go to each others parties plus get together at other times to do things. My younger DD we have not done this yet but I would love to, she doesn't have a good group like this in her class that we have found yet - the kids are either a bit older or younger than her for some reason.
