Going to register today (yikes!) and have some questions:
1. What do you recommend for strollers? Should I register for one side-by-side and 2 umbrella strollers?
2. What did you use for a portable crib for twins? I was looking at the Joovy, just because I thought I might be able to put them both in it together, rather than getting 2 separate pack-and-plays. Is this a good or bad idea?
3. What pump would you recommend for BFing twins?
Any other suggestions? THANK YOU!
Re: Registry must-haves for twins?
1. We loved the Gracco Duo glider w/ the carseats...it's great to get the babies in and out of the car BUT when they get a little bigger, you might want a side-by-side - we have the Combi Savvy.
2. IMO, get 2 pnps. If you travel, you'll use them for years and they'll be too big for one pnp.
3. Although I really wanted to bf, it worked better for us to ep. I'm so glad I rented the hospital grade pump.
Thanks, Heidi! Are the hospital pump rentals much better than any pump you can buy?
Thanks for the info! My head is spinning with the amount of stuff we will need!
1. For strollers, at the beginning, I'd just go for a double snap n go. After that, you can figure out if you want another tandem or a SBS, or something different (like a Phil and Ted's ;-).
2. When we travel, we use 2 PNP. I wound up getting them both used though because we didn't use them until we went to the beach when they were 6 months old. (I bought a PNP with all the bells and whistles--bassinet, changer, mobile, etc--for $40 that was in great shape.)
3. With twins, I highly recommend renting a hospital grade pump. I rented an Ameda Elite from the hospital for several months and then bought my own off of ebay for about the same price as a Medala PISA.
The Boppy bouncers were a lifesaver for the first few months for us. The girls spent much of their time in them and slept there better than in their crib: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3247595. We started with one and wound up getting a second one because they liked them so much. However, it's not an exciting bouncer when they get older. This one is fabulous: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2508004. It's great because it has some things your LOs can play with and it has higher sides so they can't roll out of it. I can still use it with my DDs to feed one a bottle or one even slept in it last week when she was congested.

1. I would go with a double snap n go to start with and then we love our BOB stroller for when they are older and can sit up by themselves. We do not have any umbrella strollers.
2. We use our PNPs when we have traveled we have the Graco Deco ones and they are great. When they are little you can put both of them in the regular PNPs just check the weight limit on whatever you buy.
3. I exclusively pumped and I used the Medela Pump In Style Advanced and it worked great for me.
Suggestions:
*Boppy Newborn Loungers - my twins spent so much time hanging out on them when they were little and sleeping on them
*LOTS of cloth diaper to use for burp cloths they are the most absorbent
*ITZBEEN timers I still use mine and they were great for those middle of the nights when you can't remember who was fed/changed and when
