progesterone capsules and sex

The other progesterone thread made me think of asking this...

I am taking progesterone capsules vaginally since 2dpo. Do you know if you can have sex while on them? the are capsules with powder inside, not suppositories.

I was going to ask my doctor on Friday when I see him... but since some of you ladies are on progesterone I figured I would ask!

yes you can. they take 15 to 20 minutes to absorb into your vaginal lining. After that time you're just seeing the capsule not the actual medication. I would suggest using it after sex if possible

here's my TMI reply: i take prog. supplements and they have made my insides very, well, raw and sore. so when we had sex it was a bit painful. I would definitely recommend using lube if it starts to hurt.

TMI, I've been using a preseed applicator to put the capsule as far in as possible and so far havent notived any issues. Then again, I havent been giving poor DH any since 2dpo!
