Anyone interested in a tumbling class?

I got the Raleigh Leisure Ledger last week and found a class called Tumbling Tinies at Brier Creek Community Center through Raleigh Parks and Rec. It's for 9-24 months, and it's once a week (Friday mornings at 9:30). I think we might start in January- I'm not sure if they class is different each month or the same, but it sounds fun and it's only $30 (way better than Gymboree type places!).

Registration isn't open for January yet, but I thought I'd see if anyone else is interested in taking it and I'll keep you updated so we can sign up together! Here's a link to the Brier Creek Comm Center brochure.

Re: Anyone interested in a tumbling class?

  • I am definitely interested! Please keep me posted. :)

OH - I just looked at the brochure. It looks like it's $30 per month? Either way ... that is definitely a great price compared to places like Gymboree. We could always do it for the first month and then if we like it do more - if not, oh well! I'm excited though! (Savannah is too .. lol)

  • We aren't ready for this and I couldn't do weekdays yet, but thanks for posting because that is SO close to me and now I know they do stuff like that!  I had no idea they had anything for children.

  • We'd be interested if DD was old enough.  It'll be close b/c she's 9 months on 1/13 - so depending on her development at the time, we're a maybe.  Definitely a later session though if anyone would take another session later next year!
  • We would be. I was going to look into tumbling in January so this would be perfect, and it is so affordable.

We are also starting a mini Mozart class in January but I think they would be on different days.

ETA:I see $40 unless I am looking at the wrong thing.

  • Hmm, the ledger I have says $30, but it does say $40 on the brochure. I wonder which one is the misprint! I guess it's still cheaper than the other classes though- I know Gymboree is at least $65 plus a membership fee.

Marie, if we like it and it's something we could do month after month, we will definitely keep taking it!

I'll keep y'all updated once registration opens.

  • Liam and I are interested.  We are in the middle of taking free trial classes right now at My Gym, Gymboree and Little Gym, and I really want to enroll him in some gym classes starting in Dec or Jan.  I like the price of  this one, and would love to take a class with some of our friends, my only concern is the wide age range - I'm curious how they handle the younger, not yet mobile ones with the almost 2 year old wild and crazy toddlers.

My niece is taking this class (Tumbling Tinies) right now, so I'll ask my SIL for some more info on what the class is like.  I'm pretty sure $40 is the right price, I remember my SIL telling me the class was $40 when we talked about it last week.

  • I think Jack and I would be interested as well. I think it woudl be fun and he's wild man and loves to do all kinds of stuff. Crescent i was sorta thinking the same thing myself cuz Jack will be right there with Liam being a wild child around all the little ones.

  • I'm interested but will have to see if it'll work with my work schedule. Plus I've never met any of you guys IRL, so that would give me an excuse! :)
