We have our girl's name (allison iola), and a potential boy's name (Kyle Fredrich), but aren't as set on the boy's. So we were started searching the books last night and came across one that made us pause and consider it.
Van
I really can't decide if I like it or not... the thing is, my maiden name is a two word last name - Van 'Otherword', and with that last name, I never thought it could be incorporated into my children's names as a middle name or anything, so this would be kinda neat in that sense.
It's unique, but I don't think it's "youneek" or whatever, it's a vehicle, but we also knew of one or two guys in highschool with that name and it wasn't that strange. So what do you think?
Re: WDYT of this boy's name?
I agree
Also when I think of Van I think of the guy on the "REBA" show
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

haha, Yeah, I don't think we would go with Fredrich as the middle name if we were to go with Van. It would be hard to come up with a smooth middle name... especially since I'm used to my maiden name!

Yes, a mn might be difficult but I think 2 syllables would flow the smoothest. I can see where you'd be used to your maiden name! I say go with Kyle Fredrich. But I also like the suggestion of Vaughn.
This is what I was thinking. You have to have the right last name to pull off Van without it just sounding like part of the LN.
*dies*
That was priceless.
