Progesterone in morning... BAD idea

I'm supposed to start my progesterone today, and I decided I'd try taking one in the morning and one at night to see if that worked better.

I've only taken both at night before, and boy do I feel like CRAP!

I feel like I took some nyquil or something.  I keep spacing out and just feel generally out of it lol.  Looks like this won't be a very productive work day for me!

OMG!  I did the same thing yesterday, I felt like I was drunk and it was worse when I took the second one last night!  We had to get KFC for dinner because I couldn't get off the sofa.

The RE said if I got dizzy to take them after work but dizzy was an understatement.

I hope it wears off a little bit for you, I was couch bound for about two hours last night with not prospects of ever getting up.

Eek, that doesn't sound like fun.  I'd definitely take it at night if you can!

I took two at the same time when my doc increased my dose to 2x/day. I felt like I had one too many. It really freaked me out, and I do not think I will do it again. I take one in the morning by mouth, and at night I take the other as a vag suppository. Less systemic side effects when you take it as a suppository. I have been doing this for a week now, so far, so good.

Is it ok to use the same pills I have as a suppository too?  I might just do that tonight.  Mine are like little pink balls... is that what yours look like?

That sounds horrible.  I never would have thought a hormone that is suppose to produce naturally in your body could do that.  Hope you feel better soon.

RE said I had to take mine in the am and pm and man is it tough to stay awake. If it makes you feel any better it wears off a little after about a week and you aren't quite as tired during the day.

Mine are yellow, about the size of a peanut. My doc said they could be used either way. I am taking Prometrium, is that what you are taking? Many drugs you can take by mouth can be taken rectally or vaginally because you will absorb it through your muscous membranes in those areas. Ask your phamacist or doc.
