I'm a little sad b/c DH had to go on a last minute business trip to Europe and he is going to miss my first appointment tomorrow. I was hoping that once he saw the heartbeat, it would be a little more real for him. He's pretty disappointed, too. I had just dreamed of sharing that special moment together where we both see the heart beat on the ultrasound. But, I am excited to see the baby! I just hope everything goes okay tomorrow. I would be a total wreck if I get bad news and DH is out of town.

Can your Dr record it to a dvd? That way your DH could see it when he gets back.

that does suck.  You'll get pics though to show him.  Don't go on too much about it to him, he probably feels really crappy about it.

Can you take a pic of the u/s screen with your phone and text it to him? Enjoy your first appt!

When I called this am to make my 1st appt the receptionist said I could bring in a dvd-r and they can record it.  Awesome.

I'd call your dr's office to see if they can.

They should be able to record it!!!  I would call in the morning to see if you could bring a dvd or if you can buy one from them.  Even if they don't usually do it on 1st appts....maybe they will do it for you based on the circumstances.

My DH didn't come to most of my appointments last pregnancy and didn't come to my first with this one either.  He's not missing a whole lot, even if you do have the ultrasound.
