I've been reading some posts on bleeding/spotting and I had my first appointment and I got some interesting information that I wanted to share.
I have a blood clot that formed on the top of my uterus (outside the sac). The tech said that it happens quite frequently - when the embryo burrows into the lining and the blood is not released.
She said it is harmless and the doctor agreed. She told me if I start to bleed that it may be the clot coming out....but she said in all likelihood because of where mine is in my uterus it will not come out. If it was closer to the cervix, it would be more likely to make it's way out.
I don't know if that could be attributed to anyone here, but I at least thought I'd share.
Re: Interesting info on bleeding / spotting
I'm glad it could be useful. It seemed quite obvious to the tech...but to me it looked like uterine lining.
I hope you have nothing to worry about.
