I have come down with a FABULOUS stomach bug. I'll spare you the details, but let's just say it has been a rough day. I have a fever, and went into work for a whole 45 minutes. My supervisors are out and were counting on me to be there today and tomorrow (8 hours instead of part time, since I'm going on vacation Thurs-Tues) to hold down the fort until they return, but obviously that isn't happening. But, what can you do? They were nice about it told me to go home (as to not spread it to other employees). But I know they're stressing that I'm not there. If I still feel bad tomorrow, I won't be going then either. Between that and asking for 4 days off right off the bat, I'm not feeling like employee of the year right now. :-(
Holly has some kind of virus too. Her fever finally seems to be breaking, and she seems to be feeling better. But she had a total meltdown, for like 2 hours (very unlike her) last night. We had to get in the car and ride her around. She got herself so worked up that she coughed until she puked (I'm hoping it's unrelated to my stomach stuff--it seemed to be just her getting all choked up).
So, needless to say, it's been a lovely past few days in the Hughes household! Just in time for our Orlando trip! Let's just hope we're back on our feet by Thursday. :-(
Re: Ugh. The misery.
I'm so sorry that you are dealing with a stomach bug! I know how miserable that is. I had one when I was pregnant and DH and I both look back at that as the worst day EVER. That stomach bug made natural childbirth look like a piece of cake.
I can't imagine what it's like to deal with a bug and a sick baby though! You poor thing. I hope that you all feel better by Thursday and you get to relax and have a great time in Orlando!
