So the boy can climb!

Right out of his crib.....theres no point lowering the matress agian it only goes down another inch.

We have the toddler rails. Has anyone tried toddler rails this early? If so any tips?

I think it may be related to day time vs night time bc he cant see anything to go after out of the crib. This of course is wishful thinking on my part.

  • Holy cow are you serious! Wow... I don't know what to tell you. I hope you can find a solution.
  • Yep! He just leans right over, and throws a leg over. I dont know if he'll try it again bc I think it scared him but of course I cant be sure. I dont know maybe DH is exagerrating saying it only goes down 1 more inch..I guess we will find out once we try to lower it or add the toddler rails.

  • I think you should really see how much lower the crib goes.  Did you see how low Eli's was?  I can't reach the mattress without my feet coming off the floor.  I would really be surprised if yours didn't go as low.  And you can't just measure the space between the screw holes, because on the lowest setting it just lets the mattress drop.  There was a huge difference for us between the 2nd and 3rd setting, even though the screw holes are only about an inch apart.  So definitely try that first, unless you're just wanting to go ahead and move him to a toddler bed.

  • I hope so, for your sake!  No way I'd want him roaming around yet!
