TTC After a Loss

xp: Pittsburgh doc OK with Lovenox during pregnancy? (baby pics in sig)

Asking for a friend who is struggling to find someone to help her - she has two clotting disorders and three losses under her belt - and is having trouble finding an ob/gyn who will work with her and prescribe Lovenox during her pregnancy.  I sent her to my high risk group who monitored me on Lovenox but she needs a regular ob/gyn also (high risk group says they won't be her primary docs during her next pregnancy.)  Any leads - let me know - thanks so much!

  • Sorry don't have a recommendation for a Dr. But I have to take Lovenox when I'm PG and my hematologist prescribes and monitors me. However, my High Risk OBGYN will also monitor me. If a high risk Dr. doesn't want to see her, she should start with a hematologist, as they can recommend an OB that will monitor the lovenox.
