Toddler friendly activities in Balt area?

We're home visiting my parents for Christmas, and looking for some fun things to do with DS (who will be 18 months). I've never thought about toddler-friendly things to do in the area. Is he too young for the Science centre? Are there any indoor play areas? What else might be good?

Thanks! :)

  • the aquarium, port discovery, the railroad museum, there use to be a fun play area in towson mall but i dont know if it is still there, there might be good IMAX movies at the science center

  • I heard that the Science Center is very toddler friendly. We took my daughter to the Aquarium and it was so crowded she didnt really like it. If your kid is good with crowds these will all be great places.
  • also....there is a fire museum in towson....never been but santa will be there the 28th according to the sign
  • On Nov. 22nd, there's a special activity called something like Baby Loves Disco at the Reicher Theater (Near the circle/mall/amc theater). They have a live DJ and it's basically like a nightclub to let kids have fun and dance.

    It looks really cool!

  • We took DS to Playwise VIllage in Columbia.  HUGE indoor play center.  DS absolutely loved it!

  • There is a play area in Towson Town Mall and one in Columbia mall too, I believe.  Storyville is a great place to go.  The Science Center is nice, the Aquarium too but the Aquarium you can't take strollers in, you can rent backpacks to wear your child.
