3rd Trimester

Oh crap crap crap - what should I do?!

It's just 1:15am (Sunday) here in the UK and I JUST remembered I had booked a hospital tour for today at like 9 or 9:30am for the maternity ward. DH and I didn't attend any birthing classes because they were booked 6 weeks ago when I scheduled this, and now I'm wondering if I should get my rear in bed and set an alarm so I can make this tour, or just say F-it and sleep in.

I've been on the labour ward from when my SIL had her baby in July, but I'm not sure it's worth waking up so early on a Sunday for.

(I won't be able to re-schedule)

  • Get to bed, mama!  You can always take a nap after the tour tomorrow.

  • Can you go and then take a Sunday afternoon nap?  I really enjoyed my hospital tour last time.  However, it was in the evening.  I'm not sure I would have went if it had been in the morning!

  • Sleep in. But if you are freaking out that much maybe you should go.  It's not as though you would get lost when you get to the hospital.
  • It's not like the tour is at 6 a.m. You can swing it. And yeah, take a nap afterwards.

(And GO BOBCATS! I read your entry because I saw your name... I went to OU too!)

  • Go. I don't know how big your hospital is but I know I liked the fact that I met some of the nurses on the tour. Also, they showed us the operating room they use for c-sections which made that possibility a little less scary.

We have a "ding dong" kind of noise on the door to the mat ward and I know I don't want a room anywhere near that door. I'd hear it all night. You learn weird things like that and can pick the nurses brains.

  • ETA: The 'crap crap crap' is solely because I JUST remembered. I'm not freaking out much...but DH is a night owl and won't likely get off the Xbox until 3am...so I'm thinking I won't have much luck getting him out of bed anyway, hehehe.
  • I would go!  The last thing you want is to regret not going.  I am really looking forward to mine.  Go to sleep now and then come home after and put your jammies back on and get back into bed!

My boyfriend thinks its pointless to go on a tour so he won't go. If you think you need to see the facilities again, I'd get up and go. Otherwise, what is there to really see at a hospital?
